Timothy Cook, M.Ed., is an educator and researcher specializing in the cognitive psychology of AI interaction in educational settings. His Psychology Today column “The Algorithmic Mind” explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping student thinking, creativity, and moral development. He also recently founded the nonprofit thought platform Connected Classroom.
Drawing on over a decade of international teaching experience across five countries, Timothy investigates pressing questions facing educators today: How does AI dependency affect developing minds? What cognitive skills are students losing when algorithms handle complex reasoning? How can schools preserve critical thinking, creativity, and ethical judgment as automation becomes commonplace? He has presented at conferences around the world and regularly conducts workshops at independent and international schools, offering evidence-based strategies for maintaining human-centered learning.
