Dr Dumi Magadlela
Dr Dumi Magadlela is a leading global practitioner in Ubuntu leadership development, executive coaching, team coaching, coach-training and leadership skills development. He drives the advancement of Ubuntu values to enhance innovation and human relationships globally. He is the recent Global Board Chair (2023-2024) of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Dumi is a founding board member of the Africa Board for Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology (ABCCCP), promoting the development of professional coaching across Africa. Dumi co-founded and chaired the Ubuntu Coaching Foundation (UCF) in South Africa and is the founding President and CEO of Afrika Coaching. Dumi’s recent book is titled Ubuntu Coaching and Connection Practices for Leader Managers.
Nobantu Mpotulo
Nobantu hails from South Africa and is the first African Coach globally to be accredited at MCC by the International Coach Federation, which constitutes 6% of Coaches globally. She boasts over 10 000 hours of coaching. She is one of the inaugural international coaches for Ethical Coach. Nobantu has developed a transformative coach training programme based on the Ancient African wisdom of Ubuntu. Ubuntu Coach Training is accredited by ICF for 20 ICF, CCEs. The course is for coaches, leaders and HR partners.
Nobantu is a sought facilitator for Leadership Development Programs and coaches internationally, she has experience in varied sectors. Nobantu has worked with managers in the UN DPKO in Africa, Italy, Middle East facilitating Leadership/Management Development Programmes and coached the leaders and managers. She coaches both individuals and teams. Nobantu follows the agenda of the client in her coaching. Through probing questions and sharing just in time observations, she takes clients deep and helps them to identify their blind spots and embrace their shadows. Clients go deeper into the sub-conscious and unconscious levels and dance with what emerges. She provides a safe and open space for the coachees to do their work, focusing on unexplored territories. She moves on a continuum of being non-directive to directive depending on what is missing in the client’s system. She uses mindfulness practices in her facilitation. No matter what she does she gets to the HEART of the client and the HEART of the matter. As a Midfulness practitioner and teacher she supports her clients in integrating the head, heart, instinctual and spiritual intelligence. She does amazing heart work with clients based on the principles of UBUNTU “I am because We Are”. African wisdom of Ubuntu.
Nobantu holds an MA( Guidance and Counselling) from Durham University UK, she is Enneagram Teacher with the Narrative Tradition, she is an Enneagram Coach, Nobantu participated in the Gestalt International Organisational and Systems Development a two year programme. She is a qualified Community Dharma Leader under the auspices of Spirit Rock Meditation Centre in California. Nobantu also facilitates peace circles. Some of the tools she uses in her coaching are; Enneagram, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Heart work through UBUNTU,NLP, Process Work, Deep Democracy and Facilitation of Peace Circles.
Mongezi C Makhalima
Mongezi is Thinkers 50 Top 50 Global Coach, a Top 40 Organisational Culture Champion. He is an organisation development specialist, organisational learning expert & Executive coach with over 30 years of working with organisations and leadership in corporates and NGO’s.
He has recently been named one of the Top 30 Global Gurus in Leadership & Coaching.
He is currently the Chairperson of the Africa Board for Coaching, Consulting and Coaching Psychology (ABCCCP), and also sits as non-executive director on several boards in the NGO, film and music sectors. Mongezi serves as a faculty member in the Faculty of Commerce, Law and management of the University of the Witwatersrand as well as the Wits Business School, teaching Masters and advanced programmes in leadership and coaching.
Mongezi has presented and written widely on the subject of coaching, mentoring and leadership and works with clients globally and locally in organisations that include: MTN, Sasol, CITI Bank, FNB, Rio Tinto, De Beers, Vodacom, Allan-Gray Orbis, Barclays PLC amongst others.
