| Title: Ethical AI for Decolonialised Coaching: A Global Approach for the Future of Work Speaker: Jazz Rasool & Lisa Dublin Format: Presentation and Q&A Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming business, industry and society. There has been seen a huge rise in the creation and adoption of AI Coaching applications. The authors recognise that coaching practitioners have been increasingly exposed to AI affordances which have led to them raising concerns about ethical deployment. Though this is encouraging there has been a failure to embrace global inclusivity and decolonisation of coaching models. This urgently needs redress, given the well publicised western cultural-oriented bias of AI systems. This session will challenge existing thought leadership on critical AI Coaching approaches, shedding light on cultural biases in AI and the parallel underrepresentation of non-Western ethical and psychological frameworks in coaching education. Coaches will be provided with advanced insights and tools to help them through the ethical territories of AI. This session will focus will be on how to implement a mindset that couples diverse cultural perspectives with technology advances, an approach where use of diverse machine intelligence is harmonised with diverse human intelligence and consciousness. This is a mindset of the Fifth Industrial Revolution that commenced in 2020, also known as 5IR or Industry 5.0. The associated mindset that is defining and refining the future of the workplace is Work 5.0. For any coach to be fit for those 5.0 working contexts they must adapt to or adopt career-evolving competencies, they must go through a ‘Coaching 5.0’ professional development best practices established in 2023/2024. Jazz Rasool has been an Executive Coach for over 20 years. Over the last 10 years he has specialised in ethical and inclusive use of AI and Metaverse Industry 4.0 technologies in Learning and Development as well as focusing on the Ethics and Compliance of using AI in Coaching. From June 2023 he started to deliver the first ever educational briefings and programs to prepare coaches for demonstrating compliance and competency in adopting AI into Coaching Practice, starting with guidance on alignment with the EU AI Act. He founded the AI Coaching Alliance, AICA, bringing together coaches and researchers for cross-body AI adoption in Coaching practice, teaching, supervision, and governance. In April 2024 Jazz was the first to create an ethical, inclusive and EU AI Act compliance-based AI Coaching Standard, AICAS, that repurposes cross-body coaching competences from the ICF, EMCC and AC for psychologically safe AI use in Coaching sessions.
Dublin Lisa Dublin is a life coach, speaker, performance poet, writer, and podcaster. She coaches professional and executive women on how to speak, lead and live with confidence. She began coaching in 2021, during the pandemic, and as a fairly new coach, is very interested in the intersection of coaching and AI, particularly in a cultural context. Lisa holds an MA in English from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business. She speaks and writes on such matters as self-confidence, the importance of having a voice, finding meaningful work, and diversity, equity and inclusion. She is the author of a poetry chapbook and two novellas. Her latest book, published in October 2024, is a Christian devotional called Worship at Midnight.
