What is Ethics Beyond the Code™ Foundation?
Ethics Beyond the Code™ Foundation is a self-paced learning experience from the Academy of Ethicality, designed to help professionals deepen ethical awareness, strengthen discernment, and cultivate ethicality in practice.
Through theory, reflection, and applied casework, you will explore how ethical decisions are shaped by values, assumptions, relationships, systems, culture, and context. The programme supports greater confidence and clarity when navigating complexity, uncertainty, and professional responsibility.
Whether you work in coaching, mentoring, supervision, leadership, healthcare, education, psychology, wellbeing, law, governance, public service, ministry, emergency services, organisational life, or other professional contexts, this Foundation pathway provides a practical and reflective introduction to ethics, ethicality, and professional judgement.
Completion of the Foundation pathway may also contribute towards the Ethics Forum International (EFI) Ethics & Ethicality Recognition pathway.
What is Ethics Beyond the Code: Advanced Practice – Humanities?
Ethics Beyond the Code: Advanced Practice – Humanities is a focused, self-paced course for coaches, mentors, supervisors, educators, and wellbeing practitioners ready to stretch further — deepening ethical maturity, sharpening discernment, and engaging courageously with complexity.
Building on the foundational course, this offering introduces new theory and insight from moral psychology, social identity, hope theory, and more — all applied through reflective prompts and a carefully curated set of ethical dilemmas. Each lesson integrates practical application with the Courageous Becoming model to help you explore not just what you do, but who you are in moments of ethical challenge.
This course is ideal for coaches, mentors, supervisors, and leaders who want to strengthen their ethical presence and take their practice to the next level.
Ideal for those seeking meaningful CPD or CCE hours, this course supports ongoing professional growth with both rigour and relevance.
Completion of the Ethics Beyond the Code™ courses (Foundation, Advanced Humanities, and Guardianship tracks) and attendance at a Coaching Ethics Forum Annual Conference will so contribute toward the forthcoming Ethics Forum International (EFI) as core evidence toward the EFI Ethicality & Ethics Professional Recognition (2-year cycle).
