Participants will be informed of any significant changes via email and the CEF website.

Any and all matters or questions not specifically addressed in these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the sole discretion and interpretation of Coaching Ethics Forum (CEF). CEF, in its sole CEF and reasonable discretion, may refuse or cancel a registration at any time and in such event shall not be responsible for any fees or costs incurred as a result of such refusal or cancellation.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
All CEF registrations are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation by CEF, participants may be offered access to an alternative session or equivalent content.
Any net proceeds from CEF activities are directed toward promoting ethics in practice, including but not limited to the maintenance of at the Journal of Coaching Ethics (JoCE), including the production of papers for publication.
For payment-specific policies, see our Payment Terms
Proprietary Rights and Copyright
Presenters retain copyright over their own materials. However, by participating in CEF events, presenters grant Coaching Ethics Forum (CEF) the right to record, host, and use their session content, including excerpts, for educational, promotional, and archival purposes. CEF may choose to make recordings available behind a paywall for a limited time and may release them publicly at its discretion.
Unless content has been explicitly released by CEF (e.g., via the Coaching Ethics Forum YouTube channel or Vimeo), all recordings and materials remain protected and may not be reproduced, embedded, or used, particularly for commercial purposes, without written permission from both the presenter and CEF.
By registering and attending CEF events, you acknowledge that all content—whether provided by CEF or its presenters—is protected under international copyright and intellectual property laws.
By attending, you consent to the use of your image, voice, or likeness captured during sessions for CEF’s educational and promotional purposes, without additional notice or compensation.
Certificates and Accreditation
Where applicable, participation certificates may be issued for professional development or continuing education purposes.
Credit eligibility (e.g., with ICF, EMCC, AC, NBHWC, or other recognised bodies) varies by activity and is confirmed in the documentation for each specific event or course.
It is the participant’s responsibility to verify how any awarded credits align with the requirements of their professional body.
For some offerings, certificates may be contingent upon the completion of reflective or learning activities as specified at the time of registration.
Materials and Intellectual Property
All materials shared through CEF events or courses are protected under international copyright law.
Presenter materials remain the intellectual property of their authors and are only hosted or distributed by CEF with the presenter’s consent.
Some resources developed by CEF or its affiliates are made readily available for participant use. Such materials are intended for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only and may not be reproduced, adapted, or redistributed without prior written permission.
Code of Conduct
CEF upholds a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment across all its activities.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy, consideration, and integrity in all interactions—whether online or in person.
The following behaviours are not permitted in any CEF space or communication channel:
- Promotion or advertising of personal services or business activities
- Use of AI tools within live sessions or interactive forums
- Unauthorised recording, duplication, or livestreaming of event content
- Disruptive, abusive, or disrespectful language or behaviour
CEF reserves the right to remove any participant violating this Code of Conduct. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
Privacy and Data Protection
All personal data collected during registration are stored securely and used only for event management and communication, in compliance with GDPR. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer and Liability
Presenters are solely responsible for the content of their sessions and materials.
The views and opinions expressed during CEF activities do not necessarily represent those of CEF. CEF does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any information shared.
Participation in CEF activities is undertaken at the participant’s own risk. CEF is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage (including death) arising from participation in its events, courses, or related activities.
Participants are solely responsible for their own conduct and any damage or injury they may cause, directly or indirectly.
By registering, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless CEF, its officers, staff, and volunteers against any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from their participation.
This limitation of liability and indemnity obligation remains in effect after the conclusion of any CEF activity.

CEF shall not be liable for any failure to perform or delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, labour strikes, public health emergencies, or transportation disruptions that render the event impossible or impractical to conduct.
Waiver
